The Screamin' Meanie is a mid-length speed cruiser with good surfing ability. It has sold for over a decade to people who like some speed and boofability on challenging runs. The hull's soft chined tracking features maintain a tight ferry line, especially during back ferries. It also has a small enough stern to effect good squirt turns and screws. Leaning back to put the hull under a bit releases the bow tracking features to enhance turning. This is an excellent creek boat for paddlers who customarily use squirt boats, since the same turning techniques can be applied and the skinny little bow seems to fit anywhere. The Screamin' Meanie is a superior boof boat for people who use this technique to jump vertical drops in a way that lands the boat flat on the foam below to keep the bow from piercing dangerously deep. It was designed with a large bow for comfort, speed and buoyancy. This tapers to a smaller, blunt stern which aids in turning and surfing. Intermediate paddlers have found the boat to serve up ample fun by virtue of its stability, forgiveness, and surfing abilities. It can easily be custom rendered with a large keyhole cockpit for larger paddlers on request.
