How to order your kayak. One you’ve decided to order a kayak we’ll want to talk with you on the phone. Give us a call at 724-329-4413.  Since we’ll be creating a kayak just for you, we’ll need to learn about you and your custom kayak. Here are some of the items we’ll talk about:

  • Model.  Which design do you want?.  If you’re not sure which model you want, give us a call and we’ll help figure this out.
  • Sizing.  This particularly matters for squirt boats. We’ll need to know your weight, shoe size and inseam.  What are your performance desires?
  • Construction.  Where do you plan to paddle your kayak?
  • Colors.  You get to select colors for the deck, hull, cockpit and seams
  • Graphics.  Want a special graphic? We can do it.

The deck of your kayak is the best place to go all out and be expressive with colors. This part of your boat experiences the least amount of abuse. Paul can create all kinds of cool looking boats. He can make your boat look exactly as you tell him.  Or you can tell him what colors you like, then he’ll whip up an abstract blend that’ll make you go “wow.” Or we can do solid colors.  Or you can go all out with your own graphics.  We’ll build it how you want it.

We recommend that you go with a white hull, but we will use whatever color you want. White is suggested because it will hide the scratches. The hull to the left is royal blue metal flake.

For your cockpit and seams, you can select a color or go with our recommendation of black. Black goes with any color and its easy to touch up if needed.  We can add metal flake here to jazz it up a bit.

The nitty gritty details of ordering a kayak from PS Composites:

  • Once you’ve placed your order, you’ll need to confirm your order with a $750 non-refundable deposit. The balance of the order is due prior to shipping.  Check, money order, VISA and MasterCard are accepted. 2.5% fee added for all credit card purchases
  • We are happy to ship anywhere in the world.  Shipping costs are not included, however we will make these arrangements for you and you will receive the discounts we have established with the trucking company. Ask us for a quote.
  • Order turnaround from receipt of deposit to shipping has been 6-8 weeks. We want you playing in your new boat as soon as possible.
