The Cruise Control is meant to excel for cruising and on very steep creeks.  It has amplified, but even rocker to help boof ability, maneuverability, and surfing. The Cruise Control's high maneuverability works well on creeks with many obstructions on route to boofs. The boat's high rocker and largish bow allows the rider to lift the bow easily and predictably. It has a relatively low volume stern to aid turnability and to fit under foam piles while surfing or blasting. The deck features a large keyhole cockpit to help make entry and exit under difficult circumstances as easy as possible. The hull has relatively soft chines but also features a softly rounded near flat section from the seat back. This helps it maintain a slippery feel for surfing and acceleration. The boat has generous volume in the body area, but beyond the foot braces it rises to a dense bow which helps the boat pierce large holes. This usually puts enough foam over the deck to slow any back-ender that may try to happen. In short, this is a design for maneuverability and escapability but not speed, although it is faster than many short current rodeo boats.  The Cruise Control is a hard-playing boat that is extremely responsive and well adapted for larger paddlers. It's a creeking/cruising boat with squirt-like abilities although the high rocker keeps it from being a squirt boat proper.  The generous size of the Cruise Control accommodates people up to 240 pounds.
